Jan Brett: Hi, my name is Jan Brett, and I really like my name because it's very short. And the reason I like it is because children read my books and they think that's my first name, Jan Brett. So when I go to the grocery store or meet a child at a book signing they always say, "Hi, Jan Brett." And I've always thought that was very funny, and I like it very much.
