Carole Gerber: Hello. My name is Carole Gerber. My last name is pronounced just the way you would expect, with a hard G sound. Gah. I'm a poet and picture book author. I've also written more than 100 elementary science and reading textbooks. Maybe you have some in your classroom. If you saw my name in print you might notice that I have six letters in my first name, C-A-R-O-L-E, and six in my last name, G-E-R-B-E-R. Also note that the first and last syllables of Gerber rhyme. Since most of my picture books are written in verse, I think this is pretty cool.
