Eloise Greenfield: Hello, my name is Eloise Greenfield. I didn't like the name Eloise at all when I was a child. I knew only one other child named Eloise, and I wanted a name that a lot of children had. Doris or Delores, or something like that.
When I was in college, I met someone who spelled her name the same way that mine is spelled, E-L-O-I-S-E, but she pronounced it, E-Lois. Anyway, I grew up and now I like my name just fine.
