Katie Davis: Hello, my name is Katie Davis. My real birth certificate name is Kate, but everyone's always called me Katie. No one was named Katie when I was a kid. I hated my name. I wanted to be Cynthia, which I thought was much more glamorous. Then I read the book Katie John. After that, I loved my name, and I changed the spelling to match that book's title character. As for my last name, Davis, there's really no fabulous story behind it, so maybe I should make one up since, you know, that's what I do for a living.
