Fred Bowen: Hello. My name is Fred Bowen. B-O-W-E-N. Not Bow-en. I figured when I was growing up in Marblehead, Massachusetts, that everyone knew how to pronounce my name, because there were lots of Bowens in Marblehead. You see, I was one of seven kids, and so everyone knew how to pronounce our name. I don't have a middle name however, because when you're the sixth of seven kids, they start to run out of names.
