Michael O. Tunnell: Hello, my name is Michael O Tunnell. Unlike a train tunnel there are two L's at the end of my name, therefore most people want to pronounce it Tunneell. And though I agree that sounds more exotic, that's not the way my family says it. Tunnell is a Scottish name and even has a tartan or a particular design of plaid associated with it. The O in my name stands for O'Grady, which is of course Irish. My parents used my grandfather's first name as my middle name, however, his name is Grady. I imagine they added the O because they thought it sounded more interesting.
