Jonathan Stroud: Hello, my name is Jonathan Stroud. Jonathan is a biblical name, which means gift of God apparently, although I'm not sure how true that is in my case. As for my surname, Stroud, which rhymes with cloud, it's an old English word. That means dweller by marshy ground. So, I guess that makes me a gift of God who lives in a swamp, or something like that.
