Melissa Stewart: Hello. My name is Melissa Stewart and I write non fiction books for children. Melissa is a Greek word that means honey bee and Stewart is a Scottish name, it comes from one of the oldest and best known clans. When I was young, I loved my name because it's easy to pronounce and easy to spell and there weren't a whole lot of other Melissa's around. But now that I'm a children's book author, I have a bit of a problem because I often get confused with a very talented children's book illustrator, Melissa Sweet. But now that all of you have heard this message, I hope that you'll remember the difference.
