Laurence Pringle: Hello. My name is Laurence Pringle. Most people spell Laurence with a W, but mine is spelled with a U. L-A-U-R-E-N-C-E. Pringle is Scottish, and I hope to eventually do some family tree research all the way back to Scotland. I'm often asked if I'm connected to Pringle Potato Chips. No, I am not. In fact, no Pringle ever had anything to do with those chips. When the Procter & Gamble Company launched those chips about 40 years ago, they looked in telephone books for street names that began with the letter P. They found Pringle Avenue in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. That's how the name was chosen out of a telephone book. No actual person named Pringle was ever involved.
