Marty Chan: Hi, my name is Marty Chan. Now I know that as soon as you hear my name, the first question that probably pops into your mind is "Am I related to Jackie Chan?" Well, the answer to that question is yes, yes I am. No, we just have the same last name. Anyway, there is no special history behind the name Marty, it just turned out that my other had trouble speaking English when I was born, and when my mom and dad went through the baby name book, they found that Marty was the easiest name that my mother could pronounce. Now unfortunately, when I went to school, Marty rhymed with a lot of different things and for awhile the kids called me Smarty Marty, and that was kinda nice, and for awhile the kids called me Party Marty which was kind of fun, but the nickname that really stuck with me in all my school years was Farty Marty.
