Mike Wimmer: Hello, my name is Mike Wimmer. Wimmer ... I'm often asked, is it Wimer? Is it Wemer? Is it Wimmer? Well, think of ... What I remember in elementary school being taught pronunciation, double consonant, short vowel, like swimmer. So think of me as a guy trying to keep his head above water, Mike Wimmer the swimmer. My full name is Michael Landon Wimmer. Landon is a family name and I was named after my father, but later my mom remarried and the man she remarried had a son named Mike also. So, there were two Mikes in my family. I became known as Little Mike because I was younger than my stepbrother, Mike.
Well, when I got into high school I have a cousin whose name is also Mike Wimmer. So, the coach called me Little Mike, again, because I was smaller in stature than my cousin Mike, so I've been Little Mike my whole life. Well, I finally got back with him. I've been a body builder, and a weight lifter, and all that kind of stuff, and now I'm finally bigger than my older brother and bigger than my cousin.
