Mary Newell DePalma: Hello, my name is Mary Newell DePalma. On the street where I grew up, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, there were lots and lots of girls named Mary. Every family had at least one Mary. Not only that, but there were many other Mary Newells as well. I sat in alphabetical order behind my cousin Mary Newell, for most of my high school years. She is Mary P. Newell, and I am Mary T. Newell. The T is for Therese, after Saint Therese of Lisieux, who always tried her best to do little everyday things with love. I use all three of my names all of the time, even when I call relatives on the telephone, just so everyone knows which Mary I am.
