Frieda Wishinsky: Hi. My name is Freida Wishinsky. My name is spelled like the three little words, "wish," "in," and "sky." I got the name because I got married to a Wishinsky, but unfortunately with a W name, I'm always at the very bottom, and when we have a group of speakers and it's in alphabetical order, I always seem to go last. There's some disadvantages to being a Wishinsky, but I hope that people will still look for my books, because I love writing them, so even if they have to go all the way to the bottom shelf or wait for other people to finish til I get my turn to speak, I hope they'll come and read books by Freida Wishinsky.
