Shana Corey: Hello. My name is Shana Corey. Shana is pronounced with a long A. My name was inspired by Shana Alexander, an author and journalist my parents admired, and Shana means "pretty" in Yiddish. Growing up, my grandmother always called me Shana Meydl, which means pretty girl.
