Wendy Orr: Hello, my name is Wendy Orr, well until I got married my name was Wendy Furrige. My husband said I married him to get a nice short name that would fit across the spine of a book, but that's not completely true. Furrige is a very old English name and the name Wendy started with the book Peter Pan and Wendy in 1911. My mother liked the book so much, she named her first dog Wendy, so I'm not sure if I was named after the dog or the book.
