Javaka Steptoe: Hello, my name is Javaka Steptoe. Javaka, I believe, means justice in Swahili. With the last name Steptoe, it's usually more than enough. Because of that, I don't have a middle name. When people ask me what my middle name is, I have a private joke. And what I do is, I don't say anything. And when they ask me again, I tell them, didn't I just tell you my middle name?
Some people get it right off the bat, and then some people end up asking me my middle name several times before they realize I don't have a middle name.
