Pamela S. Turner: Hello, my name is Pamela S. Turner. The S stands for Suzanne. My father gave me the name Pamela, and there was an argument in the family over what my middle name should be. My mother wanted it to be Ann and my brother, who was only two at the time and could only pronounce the word Sue wanted it to be Sue, so they settled on Suzanne as a middle name. Turner is a plain Jane English name that comes from my ancestors who left England in 1938, 18 years after the Mayflower, and settled in Virginia. So I'm a eleventh generation American.
