Kerry Olitzky: My name is Kerry Olitzky. I have no idea about how I came to receive an Irish first name, that is technically Celtic. Some people think it goes well with my last name.

However, Olitzky is from Ukraine and not from Ireland. Not sure about the origin of my last name, but here's what I learned from my research. It was originally Ulitzky. It means son of the street. Son of the street is an idiom for gangster. So either my ancestors, going back three or maybe four generations, were gangsters, or they took on the surname to scare their enemies, or it was a name given to them pejoratively.
