Danielle Joseph: Hello, my name is Danielle Joseph. Dun as in fun, pronounced Danielle, but you can call me Danielle, but don't tell my mom I said so. When I was small, I moved to America from South Africa where we used British English. I was a shy kid, and one time I got over my nerves to phone a friend and said to her mother, "This is Danielle. Can I speak to Martha, please?" And my mom yelled, "Your name is not Danielle." I was so embarrassed. I just wanted to fit in. But now I'm proud of my name either way that you say it.
