Kobina Commeh: Hello, my name is Kobina Commeh. Kobina is a Ghanaian name from the Akan group of people. A male born on Tuesday is usually called Kobina. It is spelled K-O-B-I-N-A. As a teenager, my friends started calling me Kobby, which is spelled K-O-B-B-Y, interestingly. When I immigrated to the United States of America with my family, my name was butchered most of the time. The O in my name is actually a reversed C. This was very difficult to pronounce for most, and so people called me Kobina instead. So then my nickname sounded more like Kobby. Since I loved basketball and steak, I didn't mind my name sounding like Kobe. Anyway, that is a short story behind my name.
