Ariel Aberg-Riger: My full name is Ariel Alexandra Aberg-Riger. So it is long there are a lot of As, there's a lot of weird Gs and Xs in there. Ariel, my first name, I was named after the sprite in Shakespeare's, The Tempest. So there's like this little sprite that like plays tricks on everyone, which I'm down with. I'm into that.
I was also born in 1981, and so most people think of the Little Mermaid when they think of me. I was very unhappy about that as a third-grader when the movie first came out. But now I love Ariel. I'm fine with it.
Alexandra, I think my dad chose, and then Aberg was my mom's last name, and Riger was my dad's last name. So they both wanted equal billing because they both put a lot into me, so that's why I have a hyphenated last name at the end. So Ariel Alexandra Aberg-Riger.
