Pamela Morgan: My name is Pamela Morgan, and throughout my life I have gone by Pam, never Pammy or Pamela. I prefer Pamela. Up until several years ago, I would not correct people when they would change it and shorten it to Pam. And if they asked, I would say I had no preference.

But in the last couple years, I have forced myself to say I prefer Pamela, and I do that because I now have to make sure I reinforce with other people about my child and using the correct name. And so that has helped a lot in gaining that courage to advocate for their chosen name and chosen pronouns.
