Deborah Crossland: My name is Deborah Crossland, and my last name comes from a long line of Crosslands all the way back to England. One of my distant cousins was an advisor to King Henry VII, and his son was sent to the Americas to settle land, and that became Maryland. And today, if you look at the state of Maryland's flag, the Crossland family flag is still part of that. But what's even better about my name is one of my great-grandfathers, who was not an advisor to King Henry VII, was a criminal, and he actually stole someone's geese. He got caught and he was sent to the Americas as punishment. And so while I could have been a descendant of one of the advisors to King Henry VII, I am a not, I am a descendant of a man who stole geese.
