Some people might pronounce it with an Italian accent, Ferranti, but my family prefers to say it without a rolled R, Ferranti. Kinser is my husband's last name. The way we say it, the S makes a Z sound, Kinser. Heather is the name of a flowering shrub that is native to Ireland. My mom is part Irish, and she really liked that name. Even though my Italian nonna, that's my grandma, couldn't say it, because in Italian, the letter H is silent, EH-TER. Still, my mom stuck to her wish and today, happily, I am a Heather.
