J. Washington: Hi, my name is Janelle Washington. And the name Janelle, I was named after the first Miss Universe in 1977. Her name was Janelle Commissiong. My brother named me after her because he thought she was beautiful. She is from Trinidad and Tobago. And so, my mother, she enjoyed that name also. So they went ahead and decided to name me Janelle. Washington is my married name from my husband, but my maiden name is Hunter.
