Gill Arbuthnott: Hi, my name is Gill Arbuthnott. People have a lot of trouble with my name, even though it's pronounced just as it's spelled. Some people think the R is my middle initial and call me Gill Buthnott. I've been called Gill... Abernathy, or even Argonaut, though I quite like that one. I'm often asked where the name is from. It's Scottish like me, and it comes from the tiny village of Arbuthnott. Strangely, one of my favorite writers, Lewis Grassic Gibbon, lived there and is buried in the churchyard. So, that's me, Gill Arbuthnott, but if we meet, you can just call me Gill.
