Rachel Ginocchio: Hello, my name is Rachel Ginocchio. Ginocchio is actually my married name. It comes from my husband's Italian side of the family. Ginocchio is pronounced just like Pinocchio, you know, that rascal wooden puppet who becomes a real boy. But Ginocchio starts with a J sound. Many people think that means that it begins with the letter J, but it actually begins with the letter G. Here's a funny story about the name Ginocchio. A friend of ours was in Italy, and he didn't speak or read Italian, but he was flipping through the sports section of the newspaper. He loved soccer and he was trying to figure out the scores. He kept seeing Ginocchio pop up in the paper. So we excitedly thought that my husband came from a really famous soccer family, but Ginocchio means knee in Italian. So, it turns out that there were just a lot of knee injuries reported in the newspaper.
