Leonard Everett Fisher: Hello, my name is Leonard Everett Fisher. That has been my name for the past eighty-two plus years. I've illustrated more than 250 books over the past fifty-three of those years, and wrote ninety of them. Once in a while, someone will ask if I'm related to Edward Everett Hale, the author of A Man Without a Country. The answer's no. Nor am I related to Edward Everett Horton, a character actor. The fact of the matter is that I was named for my paternal grandmother whose name was Lena Eve Fisher.
