Bahram Rahman: Hello. My name is Bahram Rahman. The 'h' in both Bahram and Rahman is not silent and has a fuller pharyngeal sound to it, hah. Bahram is an ancient Persian name. It means 'victorious', the name of several Sassanid kings and heroic characters in Shahnameh, the national epic of Great Persia, which includes today's Afghanistan too. Rahman's origin is Arabic which means "gracious" or "merciful". It's my dad's middle name.
