Sophia Glock: Hello, my name is Sophia Glock. I've actually always really liked my name because Sophia means wisdom or wise one in Greek. And, I've really enjoyed being associated with the idea of wisdom or being wise, even though I'm not quite sure if that's true yet.

My second name, Glock, is actually my married name. I chose to change my name for a few reasons. One, Glock is very easy to spell. It's just like clock except with a G. Also, it's pretty high up in the alphabet. So, if we're going alphabetically, I'm more likely to be called on these days. And, thirdly, I chose to change my name because I started to write very personal stories and very personal comic books. And, they were about sensitive issues in my family of origin. So, I figured I'd put my new name on my books and protect the people I loved from my artistic endeavors. Also, I think Sophia Glock just sounds cool.
