Nicole Kronzer: Hello, my name is Nicole Kronzer. I am of Norwegian heritage, and, when I was born, my name was Nicole Johnson. I grew up in a town where both my first and last names were extremely common, so I didn't feel very connected to them, especially not to Johnson. I joke that when I met my husband, I asked him how to spell his last name. And when I found out it had both a 'K' and a 'Z' in it, I proposed on the spot. I love the last name Kronzer; it lends itself to excellent nicknames. My students often call me Kronz or Kronzy and occasionally even Kronz-a-Tron. I went from having a super common last name to a super rare one. The Kronzers were originally the Grunzers from Germany, but someone at Ellis Island couldn't spell that, so here we are. Nicole Kronzer, rhymes with bronzer.
