Mady G.: Hi, my name is Mady G. and my name is kind of unique. I was named Mady after my great-aunt on my dad's side. Her full name is Madeleine. But I'm transgender, and when I transitioned, I decided not to change my name because I felt as though that would be giving up part of my identity up until that point. And I personally feel as though the shortening to the name Mady is fairly gender-neutral sounding. And I also have been called Mads quite a bit, which is a male name technically, although, what gender is any name really? It's spelled after the opera singer Mady Mesplé, as my father is a big opera fan.
