Rick C. Barry: Hello. My name is Rick Barry. And even though Rick Barry is an easy name to pronounce, when I was just a couple of years old, I had trouble saying my own name. Back in those days, instead of calling me Rick, my parents called me Ricky. One day, just for fun, my father asked me what my name is. I couldn't say Ricky Barry, so I did the best I could for a tiny boy. It came out it I-E Doody.

Well, my family thought that was hilarious.
And even though that happened many years ago, to this very day, just for fun, someone in the family will call me I-E Doody. Now, if someday you see me in public and want to have fun with me, I invite you to call out, "I-E Doody!" If you do, I guarantee I'll laugh. I will also know where you heard the secret behind my name.
