Rebecca Eileen Hirsch: Hello, my name is Rebecca Hirsch. I was born with the full name Rebecca Eileen Stange. When I was little, most everyone called me Becky, but when I went to school, my teacher, I think it may have been my first grade teacher, called me by my full name, Rebecca. After that, I came home from school and declared that I no longer wanted to be called Becky. I wanted to be called Rebecca and that is what I have been called ever since. My last name from birth, Stange, is German and it can be difficult for people to pronounce. A lot of people say Stang or Staingy or even misread it as Strange. When I was married, I changed my last name to my husband's and I have been for Rebecca Hirsch ever since.
