Sharon McKay: Hello. My name is Sharon McKay. That's M-C-K-A-Y. I know you're going to say that it's spelled McKay but I can assure you it's McKay. You know, like a pain in the eye. To add another twist, the C has a line under it and the K is capitalized. I don't know why.

Now Sharon is a pretty common name. I don't mind it. But, have you ever asked your parents what other names they were considering before they chose the name you have? My parents were thinking of Pamela and Victoria. They nixed them because they didn't like Pam and they didn't like Vicki. No one thought of the name Tori back then. Sharon, on the other hand, could not be shortened. So, there you have it, Sharon McKay. There's a middle name too but I don't like it.
