Mariko Nagai: Hi, my name is Mariko Nagai, that's an American way of pronouncing it. Mari, like Marie, riko, so Mariko. And then Nagai. So, Mariko, if you're pronouncing the Japanese way it's Nagai Mariko, so it's up to you. The reason why I'm named Mariko is because it literally means child of truth. And I was born on April 2nd, that's the start of the new year, it's a new school year. My parents wanted me to be in a grade above, so they changed my birthday to April 1st, April Fools. It's a joke. It's a running joke in my family, "Your fake birthday is April 1st. We named you child of truth."
