Cammie McGovern: My name is Cammie McGovern, but my real name at birth was Katherine Margaret McGovern. And I was named after my mother who was also Katherine. And the minute she did that, I think that was a more common thing to do back when I was first born, and the minute I was born she started to panic about being Old Katherine or Big Katherine, and so she thought up a nickname for me before I even left the hospital as an infant. And I've been Cammie ever since, which was a little condensation of my first name and my middle name.

But, the weird part was Katherine is spelled with a K and Cammie is spelled with a C, so nobody has ever understood exactly how I got my name, or what she was thinking. And to this day, she always says she just thought it was cute.
