Travis Jonker: Hello. This is Travis Jonker. Pronounced Yonker but spelled with a J. My dad was born in the Netherlands and so Jonker is a Dutch name and when he was a kid, he immigrated to Canada and once they got to Canada, everyone pronounced it Jonker and that's how they pronounced it.

And so when I was a kid, I was Jonker. But then as I grew up, I went to college in one of the most Dutch areas of the state of Michigan, Holland, Michigan, and we stayed and I met my wife and we live there now.

And in this area, everyone pronounces it Jonker. So I just figured "Hey. Let's go with Jonker because we live in a place where everyone thinks it's Jonker."

Jonker is the original pronunciation, the Dutch pronunciation, so I went kind of back to the original pronunciation, Jonker, that's spelled with a J.
