Alex Temblador: Hello. My name is Alex Temblador. I know my last name looks scary because it's nine letters long, but it's really easy to say. I always tell people to return to your kindergarten days and sound it out. Tem, bla, dor. Temblador. Or Temblador, if you say it with a Spanish accent. That's because it derives from the Spanish language.

It's a very unique name and is only found in Mexico, the U. S., and, rumor has it, the Philippines. I'm half Mexican. In Spanish, Temblador means earthquake, to tremble, or to shake, which is why my grandfather is nicknamed Shaky. Whatever you do, just remember there's only one R in my last name. Though it means to tremble, don't add an R after the T. It's simply Temblador.
