Andrea Wang: Hi. My name is Andrea Wang. My first name came from the doctor who delivered me. He was a friend of my mom, and my parents named me in honor of him. They took his name, ANDREAS, dropped the S, and decided to pronounce it the America way, ANDREA, instead of the Greek way, which is AN-DRAY-A.

My last name is from my husband, and means emperor in Chinese. Even though it is the same name in Chinese, WONG, it can be spelled W-A-N-G or W-O-N-G in English. I say WANG so people know to spell it with the A instead of an O.
