Julie Woik: Hello my name is Julie Woik. My first name is Julie, which of course isn't very difficult. But my last name is Woik, and although it only has four letters, it has proven to be quite a difficult name for many people to enunciate over the years. When people begin to struggle with it, it helps if I say something along the lines of, "You know, like I Woik all day, and I Woik all night." That seems to put them at ease immediately, and then they can say it without any problem.

I grew up in a small village in Wisconsin called Kekoskee.
Don't worry, I won't make you try to say that word correctly. Anyway, when we were growing up, our friends in school thought it would be fun to add an E-R to the end of our name, making it Woiker. That nickname has been passed down from my oldest brother right on down to me, and it is still in use today.
