Robin Newman: Hello, my name is Robin Newman. It's pronounced Robin Newman. I haven't always been a big fan of my first name, Robin. When I was growing up, I lived in France for a number of years. And, instead of pronouncing my name Robin, the French pronounce my name Robin. And, everyone had assumed that I was a boy. So, tired of being Robin all the time, one day I decided to add an E at the end of my name, so it was pronounced Robine. This went well until we moved back to the United States, and everyone kept on calling me Robine. I happen to have a twin sister, so when I was in high school, they called us the Robine twins. I can't say I was too happy with this. So, finally when I was accepted to college, I decided to change my name back to its original spelling, R-O-B-I-N, and I took off the E. So, now my name is simply Robin Newman, it's nice and simple and I really like it.
