Janet Lawler: Hello. My name is Janet Lawler. Here is one way to remember my last name, it is like the word lawyer except you change the Y to L. Funny this is, when I was in fourth grade, a boy named Jonathon could never pronounce my name and always said Janet Lawyer. Well, not many people know that I lived up to his mispronunciation. After college, I went to law school and worked as a lawyer for about 13 years before coming to my senses and beginning a second career as a children's author.
