Trina Paulus: Hello, my name is Trina Paulus. My grandmother's name was Katrina Englehart, but they always called her Trina. She married a Lang, and I was the first grandchild, so I got my grandmother's name. My folks on both sides came from the Alsace-Lorraine edge of Germany. They came into the Port of New Orleans in 1840 or so. And they bought land in Ohio, never having seen it. They traveled up the Mississippi River, and then the Ohio River, and then the Erie Canal, to about 40 miles south of Cleveland, where I grew up. I'm very fortunate to have had the privileges of both the city and the farm with the way I grew up.
