Mo O'Hara: Hello. I'm Mo O'Hara, but that's not the name that I was born with. I was born Maureen O'Hara, which is a name I share with the Hollywood actress, Maureen O'Hara, so it's a good name. I like it.

Very early on when I was a kid, I got the nickname, Mo, which is just a shortened version of Maureen. By the time I got to high school and college, most people pretty much just called me Mo, which worked out great when I moved abroad, because I ended up moving to Ireland and then to London.

Maureen is pronounced totally differently over here, so I would end up talking to someone and introducing myself and saying, "Hi. I'm Maureen. How're you doing?" They would say, "Oh, sorry...pardon...What was that? Oh, Maureen. You mean Maureen. Oh, right." Then we wouldn't know which way to say my name, or I would say it a different way than everyone else.

So, you know what? Mo, it works exactly the same both sides of the Atlantic, so it worked out a lot better. Whether I'm living in London or whether I'm back in America, Mo O'Hara is the same both sides.
