Suzanne Young: Hello. My name is Suzanne Young, a simple enough name, but that was not always my name. It is, in fact, my married name. I grew up as Suzanne Ciccone, which is C-I-C-C-O-N-E, and no one could ever pronounce correctly, which is why I went with my married name when I started writing books.

Ciccone, if you pronounce it CICCONEE, is also Madonna's last name. That was always fun growing up, not that I ever pretended to be related to her, but everyone always asked. Now, I go by Suzanne Young. I think it works well, especially because I write young adult novels.
