David Quentin Sheldon: Hello, my name is David Quentin Sheldon. My family name Sheldon can be traced way back to early Anglo Saxon tribes of Great Britain. The first part SHEL, comes from an old English word, Skelf. The second part derives from another old English word, DUN, meaning hill. So, the name Shel-don comes from where my ancient ancestors actually lived. The flat top hills of old Great Britain.

I also quite like my middle name, Quentin. That comes from an ancient Latin word, Quintus, which means fifth. As it turns out, I was the fifth born in my family of six kids. Of course, David is an ancient Hebrew name meaning beloved, with the ancient King David of Israel, perhaps being most famous of all of us Davids.
