Sheila Turnage: Hello. My name is Sheila Turnage. My first name, Sheila, is the Irish form of the name Cecilia, and my last name, Turnage, is an old English name. I like both of my names very much. I like Turnage because it's a little bit unusual. You don't meet many people who have that name. And I like Sheila because before I was born, my parents told everybody they were going to name me for my grandmothers, and that's a wonderful thing of course, but my grandmothers' names were Dolley and Maybelle. They told everybody that they were going to name me Dolleybelle. This makes me like the name Sheila very much, because I'm just not sure I would have been a good Dolleybelle.
