Selina Alko: Hello, my name is Selina Alko. My last name, Alko, A-L-K-O is shortened from Alkokirk which is Turkish. When my father immigrated to Canada, he wanted a shorter name that would be easier to pronounce and spell. My first name is Selina, it's spelled with an I, S-E-L-I-N-A, not to be confused with the Mexican singer, Selena, spelled with an E, S-E-L-E-N-A. Selina Alko is my name.
