My mother is Irish, my father is Indian from India and they wanted a name that had meaning in both Hindi and Gaelic. Hindi being a language of India and Gaelic being a language of Ireland. And they name they came up with for me was Neela and Neela means blue, like the color, in Hindi. And in Gaelic, Neela is pronounced a little bit differently, it means in between land and sea.
